VDA Community helps you grow with others to stay ahead of the curve.

Unlike most online communities, we’re focused on maintaining high quality conversations and providing maximum benefit to members. That’s why we are an invite-only group with a few requirements to ensure that you, and all members, gain the most out of the community.

Exclusive job opportunities

You’ll have exposure to virtual interior design jobs that are only advertised through VDA. Firms we work with are typically looking for designers to fulfill hourly contracts as their demand scales. If you are looking to pick up a few extra hours, or wanting a full-time remote schedule, these are the jobs for you.

Discounts to courses, tools and other interior design support

All members will have an exclusive discount code to courses and materials created by VDA. We’re also building a network of other interior designers that will share discounts to their materials with members. Lastly, we’re negotiating contracts with vendors of popular design tools to save on subscription costs.

Online and in-person meetups

We’ll host zoom calls each month with members around topics that are current in our industry, as well as facilitating in-person meetups alongside popular conferences (when possible). We will invite special guests to some meetups, such as leaders of popular design firms, interior design creators, and more.

Who is a good fit for VDA Community?

  • You earn at least $10,000/yr for your interior design work, either as part of a firm or for clients directly (as a contractor or via your own business).

  • You have at least 1-2 years of professional interior design experience under your belt, with a portfolio of work to show for it.

  • You are seeking a hybrid-work lifestyle, where you can own your time and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

VDA is probably not a good fit if you are just getting your career started. A core part of the community is exposure to opportunities that require experienced professionals to jump in and bill hours immediately.

FAQs

  • You’ll be required to answer a short questionnaire about their experience as an interior designer. If you meet the basic criteria, you’ll be scheduled for a short interview with VDA to confirm your interest in the group and membership dues. We’ll respond to applicants in short order, scheduling interviews as soon as we have available slots.

  • We believe a modest monthly membership fee encourages high participation and helps us deliver more value to members.

  • Opportunities through VDA will be limited to community members only. Firms that are looking for talent that are qualified from day one and can start immediately. The best signal for that is membership.
